[Resolved] Explorer using 99% of CPU usage - Tech Support Guy Forums
I noticed suddenly my system performance was very slow, opening an map with 5 layers was taking huge amount of time, If I am correct, this started happening, when I tried to terminate an popup while visiting an website.
after initial diagnostics I found out IExplorere.exe in the task was taking 99% of the processor, that was creating the problem, hence other apps didn't had sufficient process and had slowed down.
I was able to fix this by deleting this key in registry file
"HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\SystemFileAssociations\.avi\shellex\PropertyHandler"
