Deleted files not in Recycle Bin

Couple of our XP users were facing this problem of deleted files not appearing in Recycle Bin

The problem was with "Damaged Recycled Folder"

To fix this issue, the recycled folder under c: drive was deleted,
deleting this folder was an task all the files are hidden and system files, removed the system and hidden attributes of all sub-directories and files, deleted the folder c:\recycled and restarted the system, which recreated the folder, then the problem was fixed.

Points from Microsoft site
"Damaged Recycled Folder
The Recycled folder itself can become damaged. Files are moved to the folder and the Recycle Bin on the desktop appears full, but you cannot view the contents and the Empty The Recycle Bin command is unavailable. Deleting this folder and restarting Windows will re-create this folder and restore functionality: 1.Restart to a command prompt.
2.Type attrib -s -h recycled.
3.Type del recycled.
4.Restart the computers."

61 Alt + F4 (Word 97) FileExit Quits Microsoft Word and prompts to save the documents (does intercept the menu item, but not the keyboard shortcut, or the x button. An AutoExit macro is usually a better way of intercepting this).

Note that: Word pretends that Ctrl+N is assigned to FileNew but it isn't, it's assigned to FileNewDefault You can fix this in Word 2000 by assigning Ctrl+N to the FileNewDialog command. In Word 97 the only way to fix it is to create a macro called FileNew (to do this, press Alt + F8, type "FileNew" without the quotes and Click "Create". The macro will automatically contain the code needed to make it work).
