Outlook Express emails are stored in a file with extention .dbx, under the following directory
C:\Documents and Settings\
This location can be found out by this option in Outlook
click - Tools - Options - maintenance tab and click Store Folder
which will show you the folder where dbx file are stored.
browse to that folder and copy the dbx file to an safe location
Your emails are important, backup them.
